A recent report by the National Center for the Middle Market and Denver-based Dietrich Partners found that companies making between $10 million and $1 billion largely fared better than those on either of the size extremes. They tended to engage more directly with customers and understand what they wanted from products and service, even when quick changes were needed last year, Dietrich Partners founder Celia Dietrich said.
